Stomphia coccinea (swimming anemone)

Found in area 5.

This anemone is orange. The amazing thing about it is that if a sea star approaches or some other predator, it can detach from its perch and move.  It does this by twisting its body back and forth to swim. If you put a starfish in a tank with this anemone as soon as the anemone detects it, it will twist itself away vigorously.
