Siliqua lucida (purple razor clam or transparent razor)

Found in area 9.

Unlike the larger razor clams this one is found nearer the shore line. It is noted for moving quickly to avoid clam diggers. The purple color is characteristic of Siliqua lucida. The specimen measures 2 inches. It is fragile.
