Macoma balthica (Baltic macoma or little pink shell)

Found in area 3. None found after 2000.

The pink macoma is small, not much over an inch in length. It breaks easily. The shell is pretty. At the Cove they could be found on the north part of the beach in the mussel beds near the the creek. After 2000 no more were found.
