Elysia hedgpethi (Hedgpeth’s sea hare) Eggs found between areas 3 and 5. The eggs were placed on a board which was partly floating. The sea slug responsible is probably Elysia hedgpethi, but we did not observe it. This species eats Codium fragile a plant that is invasive to Puget Sound and Bryopsis corticulans. Only the latter plant has been seen at the Cove. They probably drifted in from somewhere else. |
