Crepidula dorsata (slipper shell)

Found between areas 3 and 5.

Slipper shells at the Cove are not easy to find until you train your eye to find them. They are round with a little tip at one edge. The underside has a shelf-like projection, the trait that distinguishes this shell from a limpet shell.
